Invitation Letter

The Organizing Committee will be pleased to send a letter of invitation to registered participants upon request. It should be understood that such a letter is only intended to help participants to obtain a visa or to raise travel funds and is not a commitment on the part of the organizers to provide any financial support. Please send your request to the GEOMED 2011 Secretariat (secretariat@geomed2011.it) giving details of your name, institution, postal address and fax number to which the letter of invitation should be sent.

Passport/Visa

Any foreign visitors wishing to enter the Italian Republic must have an Identity Card (UE citizens) or a valid passport (non-EU citizens). Someone may need Visa before coming. Please consult your local passport authority or Italian diplomatic representatives in your Country well before your travel. How to get to the Conference Centre

The Sheraton Hotel & Conference Centre is about 3 km from Central Station train and 25 minutes from Karol Wojtyla Airport.
People who arrive in Bari by train or bus can get to the Conference Centre by urban public bus or taxi. Several airlines fly to Bari, including low cost companies, and a lot of daily flights from the two Italian hubs – Rome and Milan – reach this airport. Please visit the Airport web site for more information and book your flight early to get the ticket at the best price.
